Jessie Feliciano returns to action on Apirl 25th when he
faces Andrey Tsurkan on ESPN2's Friday Night Fights.

This will be Feliciano's first fight since losing a hard

has been the case throughout his entire career Feliciano
will take on another tough opponent.

Feliciano, 15-6-3 (9), takes on former NABF champion
Andrey Tsurkan 25-3 (16), in another do or die fight in a
career that's been filled with highs and lows.

I spoke to Jesse about a week before their fight would

TOTOWA, NJ (April 19, 2008) – IBF
#3 cruiserweight contender Tomasz
Adamek secured a world title
opportunity today by stopping IBF #7
contender O’ Neil Bell at Spodek
Arena in Katowice, Poland, it was
announced today by Main Events
CEO Kathy Duva.  Adamek floored

Bell in the opening round and then schooled the former undisputed
world cruiserweight champion for the next six rounds, forcing Bell to
retire on his stool prior to round eight (TKO 7).

Following the bout Adamek made his plans clear:  “Next is
Cunningham and then a unification bout against David Haye.”

Adamek’s victory earned him the IBF’s #1 mandatory position.  Both
IBF champion Steve Cunningham and Adamek are mandated to
battle each other in their next bouts.

At the time of the stoppage all three judges had Adamek ahead on
the scorecards (69-63, 68-64, and 67-65).  After surrendering
following the completion of round seven, Bell complained of
“dizziness” and said he “felt ill”.

“ Bell was the most dangerous opponent I’ve faced,” said Adamek.  “I
trained hard and showed what I can do.  This was my best
performance.  I am looking forward to the title fight.”

Both IBF champion Steve Cunningham and Adamek are mandated
to battle each other in their next bouts.

His name still holds weight.  He
was once a solid champion
who possessed three World
Titles (WBC, WBA & IBF) and
was widely considered to be
the best Welterweight on the
planet.  Those days seem like
a distant memory.  Since
losing to Carlos Baldomir the
once “Super” Zab Judah has
been recast as a marquee
name no longer capable of
beating the top fighters in his
weight class.
Zab “Super” Judah;
The man the Elite are lining up to Beat
By: Phil Santos – Overhandright.com
Much like the man he accompanied to the ring as a
youngster Judah’s future as a fighter seems to closely
mirror that of Mike Tyson.  Now before I get too far
ahead of myself I want to make myself clear.  It is my
opinion that Zab is still a solid top ten Welterweight, a
claim that at the end could not be made by Iron Mike.  It
is also apparent that Judah wishes to continue fighting
and badly wants to reestablish himself as an elite fighter,
another assertion that doesn’t jive with the end of Tyson’s
career.  In those ways they are different.

The definition of prizefighting is simple; a
match fought between professional fighters
for money.  Fortunately, Floyd “Money”
Mayweather, the best Pound-for-Pound
(P4P) fighter in the sport, understands the
meaning.  Lately, critics have attacked
Mayweather for his decision to appear in
Wrestlemania to face the behemoth known

as “Big Show.” My question is, why not? What’s wrong with a
professional boxer having some fun and making some money
courtesy of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)? There are fighters
who go life and death in the ring, the Vasquez –Marquez trilogy for
instance, yet receive pennies in comparison to “Money May.” Before
you rattle on about how much you admire Marquez and Vasquez, be
reminded that neither of them are considered P4P #1, neither is
making millions, and neither have three potential  mega-million
dollar fights lined up in the near future.

So what is the root of the problem? Some writers/critics have
suggested that he is avoiding Miguel Cotto; and that if he would just
fight Cotto everything would be fine.  I find the Cotto demand to be
quite humorous. Mayweather is sitting at the top of the mountain; why
should he spend his days worried about Cotto? “Money” does not
need Cotto; Cotto needs “Money.”

continues to impress
by stopping Michel

quit on his stool following the
conclusion of round six.  Berto snapped
off nasty body shots and stinging jabs
throughout all six rounds befuddling
Trabant who consistently failed to let his
hands go.  The punctuation of Berto’s
attack came in the 3rd round when Berto
scored numerous vicious uppercuts.
