| TICKETS ON SALE NOW FOR MIRANDA'S RETURN ON OCTOBER 30TH! MCGIRT JR. AND CUBAN OLYMPIANS ALSO IN ACTION AT THE SEMINOLE HARD ROCK LIVE ARENA HOLLYWOOD, FL, October 16 – In his 26 years on this planet, Edison Miranda has never shied away from a challenge. On October 30th, at the Seminole Hard Rock Live Arena, he will begin his latest task – winning the super middleweight title – when he makes his 168-pound debut against Costa Rican banger Henry Porras. “I feel like a completely different fighter at super middleweight and I can’t wait to show my fans the new ‘Pantera’ on October 30th,” said Miranda (28-2, 24 KOs) from his training camp in Puerto Rico. “My only concern is that none of the champions will want to fight me in 2008 after they see how much stronger and faster I am at 168 pounds. But I guarantee that I will hunt them down and take their belts.” Miranda-Porras, a 10 round super middleweight bout, headlines a hard-hitting night of world-class boxing presented by Seminole Warriors Boxing and DiBella Entertainiment, in association with Arena Box Promotions and the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Tickets, priced at $152, $102, $52, and $27, are on sale now, and may be purchased at the Hard Rock Live Box Office and all TicketMaster Outlets. Also in action on October 30th will be unbeaten super middleweight James ‘Buddy’ McGirt Jr. (17-0, 9 KOs), a Vero Beach native who is returning to fight in Florida for the first time in two years against Jason Naugler (17-6-1, 11 KOs). And featured on the undercard will be unbeaten Cuban Olympic Gold Medalists Yan Barthelmy (2-0) and Yuriorkis Gamboa (5-0, 4 KOs), who are scheduled to make their United States professional debuts at the Hard Rock. Additional bouts on the October 30th undercard will feature a star-studded lineup of rising stars and established contenders. |
