Both boxing fans and the press who
cover the game have been treated this
year to some epic showdowns.  We’ve
seen the fights that need to happen
come to fruition: Vazquez/Marquez
(twice), Miranda/Pavlik, Pavlik/Taylor,
Calzaghe/Kessler, Diaz/Freitas,
Hopkins/Wright, Pacquiao/Barrera, and
we still have Mayweather/Hatton to cap
the year off, all in all a great year for the
sweet science.

The problem that remains is the sports,
at times, lack of integrity.  Bogus
decisions, (see Casamayor vs Santa
Cruz), and sanctioning bodies refusing
to stick to their decisions regarding
mandatory challengers to their titles.  We
saw it with the circus that was Sam
Peter and his camp dealing with the
WBC, now the latest victim appears to
be Hartford, Connecticut’s undefeated
IBO Super Bantamweight Champion
Mike Oliver.

Bronx, NY - Nov 15, 2007 - Joe
DeGuardia's Star Boxing, announced
today the exciting Light Heavyweight

In a twist of fate and opponent fall outs,
long time rivals and former sparring

“SEASON’S BEATINGS” DECEMBER 5TH AT
THE HARD ROCK POWELL-CAUTHEN
TITLE ELIMINATOR TO HEADLINE

HOLLYWOOD, FL, November 16 – When December rolls around and holiday
well-wishes are in the air, a select few world-class fighters will hold off on
spreading cheer.

Instead, on Wednesday, December 5th, they will be handing out season’s
beatings to their opponents as Seminole Warriors Boxing and Joe DeGuardia’
s Star Boxing finish out another stellar year of boxing events at the Seminole
Hard Rock Live Arena in Hollywood Florida with a star-studded card featuring
an IBF junior middleweight title elimination bout between Sechew Powell and
Terrance Cauthen, and separate bouts featuring the return of former WBO
world champion Juan Urango to Florida, and rising heavyweight star Kevin
Johnson.

Tickets for “Season’s Beatings”, priced at $27, $52, $102 and $152, are on
sale now and may be purchased at the Hard Rock Live Box Office and all
TicketMaster Outlets.

A National Golden Gloves Champion in 2000 and a United States Amateur
Champion in 2001, Brooklyn’s Sechew “The Iron Horse” Powell (21-1, 12 KOs)
has been destined to achieve great things in the fight game.  Winner of 21 out
of 22 pro bouts, with his only loss coming at the hands of former world
champion Kassim Ouma in 2006, Powell owns wins over Grady Brewer,
Cornelius Bundrage, Robert Frazier, and most recently, Ishe Smith, making
him one of the brightest young stars in the game today.

Veteran southpaw stylist Terrance “The Heat” Cauthen (32-3, 9 KOs) is no
stranger to spectacular amateur accomplishments, as he won a Bronze medal
in the 1996 Olympic Games.  Since then, the New Jersey native has struggled
to find opponents willing to fight him, since they know a night in the ring with
Cauthen will be a long one.  Unbeaten in his last seven fights, the 31-year old
is ready to prove that he belongs among the elite at 154 pounds.

The former WBO world junior welterweight champion and one of the most
exciting fighters in the game today, Juan Urango (18-1-1, 14 KOs) is on the
road back to a world title after his August stoppage of Nasser Athumani, and
his legion of Florida fans will be out in force to welcome him back to the Hard
Rock for the first time since his title-winning effort over Naoufel Ben Rabah in
June of 2006.

Unbeaten in 18 pro fights, New Jersey-born Kevin “The Kingpin” Johnson (17-0-
1, 6 KOs) has attracted almost unprecedented attention as one of the brightest
contenders in the heavyweight division.  Charismatic in the ring and outside of
it, Johnson – who holds wins over Damian Wills and Daniel Bispo - has made
it clear that he is ready for the best in the world, and he will be looking to send a
message to his peers on December 5th.

Opponents for Urango and Johnson, as well as an action-packed undercard,
will be announced at a later date.
